香港 Hong Kong - an involuntary trip before Christmas 17. - 21. 12. 2007

Day 1:

When I was sitting in the 757 from Beijing to Hong Kong I read a magazine called "Gateway" Amazing, it was 80% advertisement, Ford, Cadillac,  Hyundai, VW, Swarovski, Gucci, Chanel, Volvo and many more... there was an advertisement for stretch limos that looked like taken straight out of a gangster rap video. But I'm afraid it was serious...the few pages of actual content made me wonder when they'll publish the first ad-only magazine :)

When the airplane was descending I was eagerly looking for the lights, the lights of this true mega-city... but all I could see was just an orange haze beneath the clouds. Then, the first houses...ups no... these are actually boats, we where actually approaching from the sea, hihi.

When I got out of the airport, I could feel that this city is considerably warmer than other cities I've been to in China. I talk about the people and the weather here. The bus-ride to the hostel was marvelous. What a city!! Wohw!

Day 2:

Man, this is the first city I see people queuing to get into a Gucci store!! There are a lot of friendly signs, giving me the feeling the city cares. Or have they been sued too often? :)

Day 3:

The world being good or bad depends on how you see it. Today it was good. Plus I got myself some brand new shades, check them out in future pictures!!

I bought JPod from Douglas Coupland today. Sitting in a McD and waiting for the "I am Legend" to start, I read the first few pages. How can this guy be so creative?!? He must have a beautiful brain :)

Day 4: Macau!!
